Dear Fellow Golfers,

The East Coast Iriguenos (ECI) is sponsoring a golf tournament benefiting the construction of "core shelters" for the indigenious peopl (IP) of Iriga City, Philippines, who lost their homes during Typhoon Reming. The golf tournament will be held on October 13, 2007 at Plesant valley Golf Club. The Super Typhoon Reming (International Code Name: Durian) which devastated the City on November 30, 2006 was the strongest typhoon ever recorded in the City's history, with winds gusting over 120 MPH. The city lost about a quarter of its population's houses which included over 280 of the IP's houses. ECI has teamed up with several organizations including United Iriguenos Inc (UII) and started an effort to help in the construction of the IP's "core shelters" which cost about $220.00 per shelter. Information about our group and projects can be viewed at www.iriga.net.

Aside from playing in the tournament, ECI is also soliciting sponsorships from individuals, groups and companies who may want to help in this building effort. ECI offers the following:
For your convenience we have attached the registration, sponsorships and other information regarding this tournament. Your check donation to UII can be a tax deductible charitable donation as UII is a registered tax-exempt, non-profit 501(c) 3 organization.
